This template is used to specify the background colouring used by Template:TC stats cyclone, Template:TC stats cyclone2, Template:TC stats first landfall, and Template:TC stats next landfall (the description is specified by Template:TC stats desc). The template takes one input parameter, and that is the type of tropical cyclone/storm.
