Arrocane Arlene was a catastrophic and historic tropical cyclone—the most powerful arrocane ever recorded in the Ardonia basin. Forming in mid-May 2019, the storm rapidly intensified into the earliest Category 5 arrocane on record, ultimately breaking over a dozen basin-wide records for intensity, windspeed, rainfall, storm surge, and landfall strength.
